We are excited to announce that Blues Wireless has been named a CES® 2022 Innovation Awards Honoree. We were recognized in the Embedded Technologies category for our Notecard Wi-Fi IoT System-On-Module. This year’s CES Innovation Awards program received a record high number of over 1,800 submissions. The announcement was made ahead of CES 2022, or the Consumer Electronics Show, one of the world’s most influential technology events.
The CES Innovation Awards program, owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)®, is an annual competition honoring outstanding design and engineering in 27 consumer technology product categories. An elite panel of industry expert judges, including members of the media, designers, engineers and more, reviewed submissions based on innovation, engineering and functionality, aesthetic and design.
The Blues Wireless Notecard provides high-performance, secure, connectivity for IoT in a 30mm x 35mm system-on-module (SOM). The existing cellular SKU draws as little as ~8μA while idle and comes with a global 500MB data plan usable over 10 years included in the cost of the device. Notecard works with any sensor, MCU, and will route data to any cloud.
For developers looking for the ability to expand their wireless connectivity options beyond cellular without sacrificing the simplicity and power of the Notecard, Blues Wireless is adding a Wi-Fi capable Notecard to the product line-up. The Blues Wireless Wi-Fi IoT System-On-Module (SOM) is a drop-in Wi-Fi replacement for the Notecard that can be used in any Notecarrier or Notecard-based custom design.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by the CTA,” Said Brandon Satrom, VP of Developer Experience at Blues Wireless, “Our goal with the Notecard is to simplify and democratize IoT connectivity, and we are excited to add a Wi-Fi connectivity option to our growing list of wireless technologies.”
