The Notecard Cell+WiFi
Now more connected than ever. A combined cellular and Wi-Fi connected device that transforms physical products into data-driven intelligent services.
Experience IIoT Like It Should Be
Blues is driving the world of connectivity forward.
We just launched a Notecard Cell+WiFi designed to help you solve almost any connectivity problem while delivering redundant connectivity you can depend on.
The Notecard enables you to effortlessly move to full-scale production utilizing a robust System-on-Module (SoM) tailored for enterprise and industrial use. We packaged prepaid cellular connectivity, Wi-Fi affordability and redundancy, low-power design, GPS geolocation, and cloud communications into a single powerful 30mm x 42mm device.
A Notecard Designed to Meet Your Exact Needs
Blues has expanded its line of Notecards to include a suite of coverage options so you can tailor the device to your use case.
With this expansion, you can select a device that provides either wideband (CAT-1) or narrowband (CAT-M and NB-IoT) connectivity paired with a Global, North American, or European coverage model.
To add to this dramatically increased coverage, we’ve included a dual-embedded SIM option that can expand coverage to additional countries and more coverage in those countries while giving you improved reliability and carrier support.
But no matter which device you use, you’ll still experience the same unmatched engineering experience, and have free access to Notehub to route your data to the cloud.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Notecard is compatible with any microcontroller (MCU) from an 8-bit Arduino to 32-bit ESP32 or STM32 and every major Single Board Computer (SBC) platform. Some popular examples include the Adafruit Huzzah32, STM32 Nucleo, Arduino Nano, ESP32-WROOM, among many others. The Notecard communicates over either I2C or UART, so it acts as a peripheral that you can connect to a product’s existing I2C bus or UART connection.
A system on module (SoM) is a circuit board that integrates a system function on a single module/device. Unlike a single board computer like the Raspberry Pi or a microcontroller, a SoM generally serves a single special function.
The Blues Notecard is a cellular SoM. The Notecard is a secure device-to-cloud data-pump that comes with 500 MB of data and 10 years of cellular service. The Notecard itself is a tiny SoM and ships ready to embed in a project via its m.2 connector. To make prototyping IoT solutions even easier, Blues also provides a series of expansion boards to host the Notecard called Notecarriers.
No! The Blues Notecard is a small 30mm x 35mm system on module (SoM) that is able to be embedded in any IoT project on its own via its M.2 edge connector.
However, Blues provides a variety of Notecarrier host boards for easily adding cellular connectivity to a new or existing IoT solution for prototyping purposes. The Notecarrier also provides antennae for both the GPS and cellular capabilities of the Cellular Notecard (and the cellular antenna is also compatible with the Wi-Fi Notecard).
