Recent advancements in AI have made it possible to build applications by simply describing them in natural language, no traditional coding required. This approach, known as vibe coding, lets developers create functional dashboards, charts, maps, and more by working directly with an AI agent.
Karpathy, the coder who coined the term, describes vibe coding as “giving into the vibes,” embracing the exponential capabilities of AI and forgetting about the intricacies of traditional coding. When you vibe code, you communicate your vision for a project, and the AI generates the code for you. This is a huge shift from traditional programming, where developers must know coding languages and syntax to write code.
Let’s be real: as experienced developers, we were skeptical. Could vibe coding actually produce something useful? Then we tried it, and what we built blew us away.
In this webinar, the Blues Developer Relations team created an entire cloud dashboard from scratch and deployed it to a web host by vibe coding, all in real-time.
